Reactions on London bombings
8 July 2005, IFCO

Both in the name of humanity and as a member of a religion that regards "killing one person as equivalent to killing all people," I condemn the terrorism which this time has shown its detestable face in Britain.

I pray to God Almighty that He will guide humanity to the paths where it can live in peace and justice, purified from unbecoming things, and I offer my condolences to the hearts of those that burn with grief for their loved ones.

M. Fethullah Gülen

Pope Benedict XVI has condemned the bombing that shook London on Thursday morning, July 7. Pope Benedict XVI said that the terrorist attacks were "barbaric acts against humanity."
