Free Cooking Classes: Turkish Sarma (stuffed grape leaves)
April 21, 11:00-13:00, Tate Center, Room 145, UGA

InterFaith Cultural Organization (IFCO) continues its free classes. This week we are going to show how to cook Turkish Sarma (stuffed grape leaves). If you would like to learn and taste how to prepare this tasty dish, please come and join us.

Free Turkish Sarma (stuffed grape leaves) will be served at the end of class.
















Ingredients:

Filling:

1/4 cup pine nuts
2 cup finely chopped onion
2 cup rice
1/4 cup currants
1 cup shredded carrot
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp cinnamon
Salt, pepper
1 cup warm water
1 bunch of parsley (and/or dill optional)
For assembly and cooking:

grape leaves (16 oz jar should be sufficient for this amount of filling)
2.5 cups water
1/4 cup olive oil
1 – 2 lemons to decorate
