IFCO donates food to Homeless Shelters in Athens, GA

Since the first day of its establishment, IFCO, The Interfaith and Cultral Diologe Center, organized many events for the University of Georgia community. Lecture series, movie nights, and cooking classes were among these campus wide events.

Last year, IFCO enlarged its vision to encompass whole Athens Community by hosting its First Annual Dialogue Dinner, which gathered religious, scientific and political leaders of Athens under one single roof. On April 12, 2006, IFCO decided to organize another event to serve Athens community in a totally different area: To show our support and care for fellow members of our community, without discriminations of any kind. Under the food donation move, members of IFCO donated meat to five Homeless Shelters located in Athens, GA.

5. The Healing Place

We, as members of IFCO, believe that this would be a cornerstone for subsequent events in this direction, which would help our community prosper and create a peaceful place for all of us.
