The World Peace Village
July 18 – 22, St. Gregory the Great Episcopal Church
IFCO helped organizing The World Peace Village day camp for children to the community at large on July 18 – 22 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon each day.
At The World Peace Village, children had a simple introduction to each of the following religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Native American traditions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The presentation included a brief synopsis of each religion, and hands-on activities, crafts, games, songs, stories, and snacks that reflect each faith’s unique traditions. Practicing peace and the Golden Rule were the main focus for the week.
